God’s Heart Beats For Conference

We were excited to work with the organisers of "God's Heart Beats for Conference 2024," a staff event designed to inspire and connect over 300 attendees. Our task was to create a design concept and all the visual elements for the conference, ensuring everything looked and felt cohesive.

We started by understanding the theme, "God's Heart Beats for Conference." The organisers wanted a design that captured the spiritual and communal essence of the event, focusing on the rhythm of a heart as a central idea. We listened carefully to their vision and worked closely with them to make sure our design matched their goals.

Inspired by the rhythm of a heartbeat, we developed a simple design. This heartbeat motif became the key part of our visual strategy, symbolising the continuous, life-giving pulse that matched the conference's theme. We used rhythmic lines throughout the design, creating a unified look that was present in everything from signage to digital presentations.

For colours, we chose red to symbolise the heart, set against a distressed black background to give it an urban feel. The tone of black made the red stand out, drawing attention where needed. We applied the heartbeat motif on the lanyards, alongside the conference logo, making the design both functional and bold. Presentation slides featured rhythmic lines as borders and background elements, keeping the visual consistency while making sure the content remained the focus. The programme was designed with clear typography and organised sections, with the heartbeat motif on each page to tie it all together. Large banners welcomed attendees and provided essential information, prominently featuring the heartbeat design for an immediate visual connection. Directional and informational signage used the rhythmic patterns to guide attendees through the venue, enhancing the overall theme.

The simple design and cohesive use of the heartbeat motif were well-received by both the organisers and attendees. The visual elements successfully conveyed the conference's theme, creating an environment that was both inspiring and reflective of the event's spiritual focus. Working on "God's Heart Beats for Conference 2024" was a rewarding experience. By focusing on a straightforward yet profound design centred around the rhythm of a heartbeat, we were able to deliver a cohesive and impactful visual identity.

  • 'We’re so pleased with the work that Sodium and Co did for our annual staff conference. They took the initial brief, developed a design concept, and then applied it across a variety of mediums, including the program, slides, name badges, signage, and more. They were really easy to work with and listened to what we wanted. The final output looked fantastic and helped make the conference look great!'
